It took him about 2 1/2 hours from the time he brought everything to the counter until clean up was complete. Not bad for a maiden voyage. As it turns out, he VERY much enjoyed himself and it seems he has another hobby. I love to watch him do things that make him so happy. Of course, the perfectionist side of him was frustrated throughout the process and at the end as I sat in awe and watched the picture develop before my eyes. How many people can watch a DVD and essentially repeat the process simultaneously? Not me, anyway. He has always been an artist at heart.

Is there anything he can't do?

Don't forget woodworking, as in pinewood derby. I'm still impressed with last year's car.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed. Maybe we could commission him to make a piece of art to put above our bed...:) How does he do it? I always have a pretty picture in my head when I start and it never turns out that way!
ReplyDeleteHe should volunteer to at the kids school to help with the Art Smart Program they have in Indiana. He'll learn LOTS of art techniques that he will also love and succeed at--water color, pastels, sculptures with clay, etc. And the kids would LOVE to have a Dad come and teach. Way to go John!
